A specific takeover day and a general plan for the outer panels for the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center were revealed to the Sioux Falls City Council Tuesday.

The bimonthly Event Center report states that on August 1st construction is essentially complete and the City of Sioux Falls will take control of the $117 million structure.  Before the Jason Aldean concert on October 3, the city plans to host open house events to show off the new building.

However, mystery still surrounds the bulging outer covering of the PREMIER Center.  It is not yet certain who will be held responsible for the flaws.  City Attorney Dave Pfeifle says the materials and installation process is being investigated by a third party.  The hope is that by October, the City will have options on how to fix the siding and an idea of who will be liable.
