Power Outage in Eastern Sioux Falls

A power outage is affecting over 8,500 Xcel Energy customers this morning in eastern and southeastern Sioux Falls.

I personally saw business lights flickering near 57th and Cliff just before 5:00 A.M. this morning. Xcel says the outage occurred at at 5:09 A.M. and they expect power to be restored by 7:09 A.M.

Remember, an intersection with traffic lights that are not working becomes a 4-way stop.

UPDATE 10:10 A.M. - Power is still out for 4,852 customers. Power is expected back on for most of them by 11:07 A.M.
