Two 13-year-old girls faces charges after they allegedly ripped off three unlocked vehicles in Sioux Falls Wednesday night.

"Calls started coming in Wednesday evening," according to Police Spokesman Sam Clemens.

"One car was stolen from the downtown library. There was another one stolen from a business near 41st Street and Minnesota Ave. The third one from a residential area. That third car the girls ended up crashing near 29th and Covell Avenue. They then took off on foot. Somebody saw the girls and then reported that. We were able to track them down."

That's when the Sioux Falls teens were arrested!

"We found out both were on probation and had keys to several of these cars. We figured out at least one of them was involved in stealing all three. The second one for sure was involved in stealing the last one."

Clemens says this is a reminder to make sure you lock your vehicles at all times.
