Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says a neighbor called 911 to report a disturbance in his backyard Monday night.

"He heard some yelling and screaming. The resident saw some people in his backyard. The woman had a steak knife and was flinging it at her husband. The officers showed up. The couple seemed to think nothing was going on. They didn't really want to share. The witness let the officers know what went on."

That's when the arrests took place!

"Police arrested the woman for aggravated assault domestic. The husband it turned out has a protection order against him. He was arrested for violation of the order."

The husband and wife have been identified as 35-year-old Hazel Dupris and 30-year-old Jerome Cook.
