Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says an arrest warrant has been issued for 53-year-old Cameron Young, who allegedly shot 30-year-old Kellie Dagel before turning the gun on himself.

"This really was a decision made by the detectives after talking to the State's Attorney Office. They decided to get the arrest warrant out there. It has not been served and he hasn't been arrested yet. We will wait to see what his prognosis is - if he is able to be released from the hospital. When he is out of the hospital, it's likely the warrant will be served."

Clemens says Young is charged with attempted murder in the first degree and alternate counts of aggravated assault.

Clemens says Dagel is making progress following the shooting on February 26, 2016.
