Police Say Sioux Falls Man Stabbed in Leg by Girlfriend
A Sioux Falls woman was charged over the weekend for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the leg.
Police spokesman Sam Clemens says an officer was flagged down around 2:15am Saturday by the victim, who lives in an apartment building at 8th and Cliff.
He says the man, who had a puncture wound to the back of his leg, told police he had been in a nearby apartment.
The man said he and his girlfriend had been arguing, and when he laid down on the bed she had stabbed his leg with a knife.
Clemens says 51-year-old Malinda Louise Hutchinson was charged with domestic aggravated assault.
The injury to the 50-year-old man was not serious.
Clemens says the two had been arguing because Hutchinson didn't want her boyfriend to go out.
He says both had been drinking.
