KFAN’s Paul Allen joined Jeff Thurn on Thursday’s edition of Overtime to talk about young rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, as he starts this weekend.

Allen (@PAkfanvikes) is the voice of the Minnesota Vikings on KFAN.

What's Allen's take on Teddy Bridgewater as the young rookie quarterback will make his first start on Sunday vs. Atlanta?

"Well, if you look at the Ponder situation, if most teams get down to their third quarterback no matter if it's the polarizing cliche name of Christian Ponder or if it's McLeod Bethel-Thompson or whomever it is, then you are pretty much screwed. But with Teddy taking a couple of days with practice and watching him in the Saints game, he's the same Teddy I remember from the preseason. Where he had a patch at training camp when he had a bad week, and didn't let it affect him. In the second preseason game, he rallied the team to a pretty exciting victory against Arizona. Same Teddy after that. He had a very uneven preseason game against Oakland. Same Teddy after that. He's as flat-lined of a human being I've met in my life. Now, that he's making his first start and it's a home game, and they are going to rally behind him. It's going loud, and fun. And we kind of need to win the game, maybe we will see some different things from Bridgewater, but he's pretty much the same old Teddy I've seen for the last three or four months."
