It's official. One Direction's third album 'Midnight Memories' is a smash, global hit, debuting at No.1 in 26 countries.

The album landed in the plum No. 1 slot on the Billboard Top 200, moving over 546,000 copies its first week in stores, a figure no doubt bolstered by Black Friday shopping! Well, that and Directioner devotion and loyalty.

The album is also a history-making affair for the boys, as 1D are the first group to have their first three albums debut in the top slot. Bravo, bravo!

The record is also the fast-selling album of 2013 in the band's native U.K., where it was also numero uno!

Other countries that gave the band a No. 1 debut include Canada, Australia, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Sweden, Turkey, Croatia, Czech Republic, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Middle East, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

Well done, Directioners. You are a truly a global force.

The band co-penned 15 of the 18 tracks on the album, so their creative input has only helped their brand and their sales.

Tune in to 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend (Dec. 7) to watch the boys perform on the show for the second time. Host Paul Rudd totally fangirled over 'em.

Oh, and while we've got you here, Jennette McCurdy also offered her cover of 'Story of My Life.' It's a cappella and husky. We like it. Do you? Watch it below and let us know what you think.
