One Direction performed live for the final time before their 'hiatus' on New Year's Rockin' Eve. I put hiatus in quotes because although the band has said they are just taking a break, I think this is the beginning of the end.

I've said it before and I've said it again, N Sync went on hiatus in 2001 and we all know how that played out.

Shortly after the new year, a bunch of gossip website had claimed that the guys of 1D had called it quits for good. I'm waiting for an official statement before I would say that. What I argue is that the guys may full well, right now, think they are going on a break, but when that break gets close to being over a couple of them might just be like, "Eh, I'm over it." Or as we've seen with Justin Timberlake, what if one of the guys has a really good solo thing going. He's probably not going to drop all that to reunite with 1D. Plus, one member already quit. I'm looking at you, Zayn!

However, all this is just leading up to their latest music video for their song, 'History.' The video features Zayn in flashback footage, which is only right. He was a founding member of the group. But the song and video are leading me to believe this might really be it.

Before, 1D fans get all in my face on Twitter and Facebook I would just like to state that I like One Direction. I hope I'm wrong. I'm just saying history does repeat itself sometimes and boybands don't last forever. (Except the Backstreet Boys, they've never broken up, but did lose Kevin for a little bit, but hey he's back now so it's ok. They still tour and release albums, yes they're still a group.) But I digress.

Here is 1D's latest (and maybe last) music video, 'History!'
