Sounds like we may have another case of "regulation gone wild" on our hands. The city of Ogden, Utah is threatening a family with fines if they don't remove the cardboard fort from their front yard.

Realizing - like most parents eventually do - that kids often enjoy playing with the box more than the the actual toy (or whatever's inside), an Ogden, Utah Mom and Dad decided to surprise their kids by turning some spare cardboard boxes into a front yard castle.

It wasn't on the lawn for even one day before city officials sent them a note demanding that they take it down. The family has been notified they have 15 days to remove the cardboard castle or face a city fine.

So how has the family decided to respond? Rather than leave the fort up only a couple of days like they originally intended, they're now going to leave it up 14 days - and take it down just before the fines are set to kick in.
