It has become one of the biggest rivalries at the FCS level in college football - South Dakota State and North Dakota State.

The Jackrabbits and Bison are part of a very select group - two of just four programs in the nation (along with New Hampshire and Sam Houston State) to make the FCS Playoffs each of the past five seasons.

In 2017, SDSU (#4) and NDSU (#2) currently hold down two of the top four spots in the latest national polls.

With a match-up of that caliber, it's no surprise that the November 4 game between the two in Brookings is now officially sold out.

At stake when the Jacks and Bison play that day will be the Dakota Marker Trophy. The seven-foot by ten-inch stone trophy represents the markers that once designated the border between North and South Dakota.

The two teams have been vying for the trophy since they both moved to Division I in 2004. After the Jackrabbits won four of the first six meetings, the Bison reeled off six straight wins before SDSU won 19-17 in Fargo last year.

The 2017 game kicks off at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 4 in Brookings.

The game will be broadcast live by Midco Sports Network.
