No Definitive Cause of Death for Dakota Wesleyan Student
Authorities say a Dakota Wesleyan University student who died Wednesday was experiencing flu-like symptoms the day before his death. The investigation continues with no clear reason given for the man’s passing.
The Mitchell Daily Republic reported Thursday that 19 year-old Beau Keeter was found dead in his dormitory room at Dayton Hall on DWU’s campus. He was discovered shortly after 11:00 AM on Wednesday.
Mitchell Police issued a statement via press release stating, “At this time, it is not known if that illness contributed to his death.”
Keeter who hailed from St. Lawrence, South Dakota was a freshman athletic training student and a member of the men's basketball team. His funeral will be held at 10:30 AM, September 30, at the Miller Armory with Rev. Matt Richards officiating. The Reck Funeral Home of Miller is handling the arrangements.
