New Insect Named After Lady Gaga

Researchers at the University of Thailand have named a new species of parasitoid wasp in honor of Lady Gaga.

"The species is known from a single female specimen collected along a nature trail at 507 metres elevation in the Chae Son National Park"

Scientists in Thailand have named the wasp Aleiodes Gaga.

Early in 2012 a newly discovered Australian Horse Fly was named after Beyonce. The fly got its name because of  its "golden-haired bum."
