Two female drummers from California have come up with a new way to enjoy your workout. The class is called, "Pound," a full-body cardio workout that uses lightly weighted “drumsticks” called Ripstix. Each class fuses Pilates, isometric movements, and plyometrics with constant simulated drumming to sculpt muscle and torch up to 900 calories in 45 minutes. The pounding works more than just your arms, and often, it tones muscles that participants didn’t even know they had.

Apparently this cardio class has been around for while on the west coast but is now making its way here in the midwest. A Pound Fit event was held back in 2014, maybe its time to bring this workout back to Sioux Falls.
