Nelly is no stranger to mixing hip-hop and country. He did it with Tim McGraw on "Over Again" and he was on the remix of Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise."

Now Nelly straight up covered a country song. Thomas Rhett scored a huge hit with "Die A Happy Man" and now Nelly is singing the tune.

Many country artists have done a country versions of a pop songs. For example, Alabama covering NSync's "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time on You" or Blake Shelton covering Michael Buble's "Home." Now it has been flipped. First country now pop.

Usually, I prefer whichever version I hear first, which is usually the pop version, but Nelly as a crooner is a little hard to believe. He has sort of sang on albums before, but this might be too much.

I don't hate it, but I don't love it.

Which version do you prefer.
