The Nebraska Cornhuskers will ring in 2014 the same way they welcomed 2013 - with a bowl game match-up against Georgia in Florida.

The Huskers (8-4) and #23 Bulldogs (8-4) will move East for the rematch - from Orlando to Jacksonville - for the Gator Bowl, New Year's Day.

Nebraska lost two of its final three regular season games - both at home.  Georgia won four of its last five, after dropping back-to-back games in the middle of the season.

Last season's Capital One Bowl meeting went to Georgia, 45-31, on the strength of five touchdown passes from quarterback Aaron Murray.

The Southeastern Conference's all-time passing leader won't play in the rematch though.  He tore a ligament in his left knee November 23rd against Kentucky.

Kickoff New Year's Day is 11:00am CST.

You can listen to the game live on your 'Home of the Huskers' in the Sioux Empire - ESPN 99.1.
