Each year, more than 10 million Americans vacation on cruises. I haven't been on one since I was a kid. My parents took my brother and I on a cruise in the Bahamas. It was called, "Disney's Star Ship Atlantic" . Keep in mind I was about 12 or 13 years old and my brother was four years younger.

The trip got off to a bad start when my father decided to load a case of soda into a duffel bag so that we don't have to pay for our soft drinks. Good idea at the time but when we arrived at the room, about half the case had exploded!

Now this cruise had everything, a arcade, a dance club, endless buffet, Ice cream parlor, the whole works for kids of my age. Well one night, I am in the movie theater watching, "A few good men" at about 3 or 4 in the morning with this girl I met from Texas. I see my father in the entrance way and he says you need to come to bed, we have a long day tomorrow.

So after the movie, I came back to the cabin, I didn't turn on the lights because I didn't want to wake anyone up. So the next day, after taking a shower, I come out of the bathroom and everyone has a look of disbelief on their faces. My father said, "What did you do to your bed?" As I look down on the sheets what do I see...a huge brown streak! So basically it looked like I crapped the bed. Well I know for a fact that I didn't do that.

So as I'm trying to figure out what has happened, I remove some of the sheets and what do I see?

Apparently I slept on the mint candy overnight and it melted so it looked like I had crapped the bed! Everyone got a kick out of it and ever since that experience, no matter where I go on vacation, my parents always tell me to make sure that you remove the mint candy on the bed before you turn in! Lesson learned!
