Mother Arrested After 2-Year-Old Found Outside Gas Station
Sioux Falls Police Lt. Mike Colwill says a child was found alone Thursday afternoon outside a gas station at 900 North Sycamore Avenue.
"A two-year-old female was located in the parking lot and she was turned over to a clerk at the gas station. Officers were able to develop an address for the child in the 4500 Block of East Brennan Drive," explained Colwill.
"When they had contact with the girl's mother she was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. The mother was arrested for those items. Officers also found a one-year-old male child at the residence."
The mother is identified as Rachel Drey. The children were put in their father's custody.
