According to just-released data from CableTV.com, the state in which you live might be shaping the type of reality TV shows you're watching.

The site pulled Google Trends data for all 50 states in the U.S., and used it to compile a list of each state's top three reality TV shows based on what they were Googling.

Those states around South Dakota (Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska) seem to be drawn to "The Bachelor". North Dakotans like to watch "The Voice".

Here in South Dakota - the top reality show draw is "Kate plus Eight" - which I have a hard time believing. First of all, the show has been off the air for several years.

I realize trends and "popular things" have a way of taking their sweet time reaching this part of the country, but "Kate plus Eight"!?! We're not that behind the times.

The second most popular reality show in South Dakota is "16 and Pregnant," and third is "The Bachelor."
