Camp Bring It On is a summer camp for kids who are battling cancer, or kids who have won the fight against it. They get to spend time, just being kids, doing things everyone does at summer camp; swimming, riding horses, fishing, singing and telling stories around a campfire and more, with other children who know exactly what they're going through.

Parents minds are put at ease, because the camp has medical personnel (oncology doctors and nurses) mixed in with staff, who tend to all of the campers medical needs. So it's fun, it's safe and it costs about $1,000 to send a child there.

That is where Mo comes in. He's a big kid himself and he happens to be the mascot for the Sioux Falls Morning Optimists. Every year he and the Optimists throw a free carnival for kids and their families to support Camp Bring It On and this Saturday (August 26) is the day!

Mo's Courageous Kids Carnival is going on from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Sherman Park (12th & Kiwanis) in the greenway between the Great Plains Zoo and the battleship memorial this Saturday. There will be games, inflatables, tattoos, prizes to be won and parents can purchase raffle tickets to help support Camp Bring It On with the chance to win some great prizes themselves.

There will be food for purchase too, so you can stop down, take a break, have some lunch, then get back to having fun!
