The official numbers from across the region aren't available yet, but another monster year from the Dairy Queen in Madison coupled with reports of long lines at DQ's around the region, means the 8th annual Miracle Treat Day for Children's Miracle Network was a huge success!

Dairy Queen franchises across the nation partnered with Children's Miracle Network to pledge $1 from every Blizzard or Blizzard coupon sold on Thursday (August 8). A number of our radio stations did live broadcasts from area stores and traffic was steady during the day while increasing dramatically after work and through the evening.

We got a chance to meet some of our Miracle kids and beauty queens from around the region as well during another fantastic day.

And kudos to DeLon and his staff at the Madison, South Dakota Dairy Queen who open at 6am and stay open until midnight on Miracle Treat Day while having a carnival for the kids and live music through the afternoon and evening. ALL of our franchise owners are to be thanked and commended but Madison is the #1 Miracle Treat Day franchise...in the COUNTRY! Again, we don't have the official tally for the entire region or from other franchises across the country, but shortly after 1am Friday morning, the Madison store finished counting the receipts for the day and posted the picture below.

Yeah, that's the number of Blizzards sold at the Dairy Queen in Madison alone! WOW!

Thank you again to everyone that took time out of your busy lives to go to your area Dairy Queen for a sweet treat for you and your family and co-workers to help our kids at Sanford Children's Hospital.
