The Minnesota Twins have made a move in the front office as the team has announced that Terry Ryan has been released from his General Manager position.

Ryan, who was also the Executive Vice President of the Twins, was the team's General Manager from 1994-2007 and took a second stint with the team beginning in 2011.

After a bounce back 2015, Minnesota currently sits at the bottom of the American League with a record of 33-58.

The team has released a full statement on Facebook and Twitter.

Rob Antony will serve the rest of the season as the Interim General Manager. Antony has been with the Twins for 29 seasons.
