Sioux Falls McGovern Middle School Students Got Caught Smoking, Eating Marijuana

Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says a group of youngsters riding a school bus Thursday morning got in trouble.

"A 14-year old had some marijuana and ended up sharing it with four other 12-year olds. All of them ate some of the marijuana. A couple of them were smoking an electronic cigarette on the bus."

When the bus arrived at McGovern Middle School, authorities were alerted to what happened.

"Once they got to school, the staff found out about the cigarette and found out on their own that the 14-year old had the marijuana and some had eaten it. All the kids were charged with various crimes."

Clemens says the kids were turned over to their parents and charged.  Eventually they will end up in court in front of a judge.
