Meet the New Robocop [PHOTOS] [VIDEO]
August 30, 2012 10:16 AM There will be a Robocop remake. You are either excited or scared. Or I guess you may not care. And if not, why not? Can’t you open your heart to a robot? Just because he is made of metal doesn’t mean he doesn’t have feelings?
Peter Weller played Robocop in the original. In the remake planned to come out next year, The Detroit cop that gets turned into a cyborg will be played Joel Kinnaman. You may have seen the 32 year old Swedish born actor in the movies Safe House or The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. He also was on the AMC show The Killing.
The chief bad guy will be played my Micheal Keaton. He is said to be the head of Omnicorp, the company that builds Robocop. You remember Keaton from Batman and Beetlejuice.
After the more miss then hit of the Total Recall remake, there could be a lot of pressure on this movie. Maybe Eric Foreman’s dad will make a cameo.
Let’s hope that ED-209 looks cool, and is better on the stairs.
