The Memorial Day weekend has always been the biggest week in racing. The Indy 500 running definitely sets the mood.

Plus NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 adds to it. Local tracks look at it as the big start to the summer of racing.

That was the case at most facilities this year. But, some events fell victim to mother nature.

Friday night was big at Jackson, Minnesota. Saturday night saw action at Knoxville, Iowa.

Sunday Montoya won the Indy race and Edwards racked up a victory at Charlotte. But rain washed out Huset's Speedway Sunday and again Monday.
