With his new film Patriots Day is set to be released in theaters on January 13 Mark Wahlberg is out promoting the film and will be making a stop in West Des Moines next week Monday to raise money for the Hy-Vee Homefront Initiative program that supports veterans and other groups.

According to the Des Moines Register, Wahlberg will speak in front of the invite only crowd that will include members of the police force, local firefighters, representatives from the American Red Cross, and other organizations. The Hy-Vee Homefront initiative was created to serve the men and women who have served America.

Hy-Vee has had a partnership with Wahlberg due to the fact that the grocery store chain carries his new performance nutrition products.
