Two people are in jail after pulling a gun on a Sioux Falls restaurant employee over the weekend.

The incident took place early in the morning on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Lalibela's restaurant located at 1001 W 11th Street in Sioux Falls.

Officers responded to a call after an employee tried to intervene in an argument between two people outside the restaurant.

According to authorities one of the men allegedly pulled a gun and threatened the employee. When police arrived at the scene, they witnessed a vehicle matching the description of the employee's car passing by.

Officers then attempted to stop the vehicle, and a pursuit ensued.The chase continued until the suspect lost control of the vehicle and it collided with a pergola near Sherman Park.

After the collision, a 19-year-old man, Daniel Amador, who allegedly pulled the gun and a juvenile male tried to flee on foot. They were apprehended by police moments later.

The driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Theresa Highpipe was also arrested and charged with aggravated eluding, DUI, and driving without a driver's license.
