One of the people being sought in the beating of a Sioux Falls man earlier this week has been arrested.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens says Nicholas Cole Barrera, a 29-year-old transient, is charged with aggravated assault.

A 42-year-old man told police he was attacked by a man and woman he knew as he waited for his sister, who was in a store at 8th and Spring, around 9:30pm Tuesday.

The victim said the man had punched him and then held him down while the woman punched him, leaving him with several deep cuts to his face.

Clemens says the other suspect, a 40-year-old woman, is still being sought.
