Man Allegedly Shoots Girlfriend After Argument Over ‘The Walking Dead’

The idea of a "zombie apocalypse" is an interesting and dark fantasy, but it is also total fiction. But there is at least one man who thinks that a "military mishap" could cause the dead to rise. And he allegedly shot his girlfriend for disagreeing with him.

Twenty six year-old Jared Gurman of Williston Park, NY was arguing with his girlfriend of more than three years, that the fictional events that take place in the hit TV show 'The Walking Dead' could actually happen. After she dropped him off the argument continued over text messages. She became concerned and went back to his home to check on him. After more arguing and an attempt to diffuse the situation by the woman, Gurman allegedly shot her in the back with a .22 caliber rifle.

The 27 year-old victim was in stable condition with a cracked rib and injuries to her diaphragm and lung, as of late Tuesday.

Gurman originally told the police that the shooting was an accident but later admitted that he shot the victim intentionally.
