Macklemore is blowing up all over and he is using his high profile to work for causes he cares about. He is working with the anti-homophobia campaign You Can Play, an organization that describes itself as "...dedicated to ensuring equality, respect and safety for all athletes, without regard to sexual orientation."

Macklemore stars in a YouTube video promoting respect. In the video he says "Don't let being gay hold you back, and if you're straight, do not hold others back."

The message of acceptance and respect is not new to the Seattle native, he's addressed similar themes in his music before.
