Yet another sign that Lorde has made it: She landed the cover of Rolling Stone!

The 17-year-old newcomer has been nominated for Grammy Awards and partied with Taylor Swift, but she's now cleared another hurdle by becoming the newest cover girl of the venerable music magazine. It's a major honor, and the New Zealand singer knows it.

"I have to keep reminding myself that this is my life," she tweeted today (Jan. 15) along with a photo of the issue. The cover shows her looking cool, hands in pockets and hair flowing. She's rocking a retro Cramps T-shirt and dark jacket and pants. In other words, she looks every inch the rock star she is!

"The way I dress and carry myself, a lot of people find it intimidating," she says in the magazine's cover story. "I think my whole career can be boiled down to the one word I always say in meetings: strength."

The issue hits newsstands and iTunes this Friday (Jan. 17).
