Look out for some road work at the 10th Street and I-229 overpass in Sioux Falls. Work will start Friday evening with a completion date of October, 26th. Traffic will be down to one lane at times during the work so expect delays and watch out for workers and equipment.

The following closures will be affecting traffic.

  • The 10th Street westbound lanes will be closed to traffic beginning Friday, Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m. and reopen at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29. Traffic will be maintained head-to-head in the eastbound lanes.
  • The 10th Street eastbound lanes will be closed to traffic on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11:00 p.m. and reopened at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 1. Traffic will be maintained head-to-head in the westbound lanes.
  • The left-turn lanes on eastbound and westbound 10th Street, as well as the I-229 left turn off-ramps at 10th Street, will be closed from Friday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m. to Monday, Oct. 1 at 6:00 a.m.
  • On Monday, Oct. 1 at 6:00 a.m. until Friday Oct. 5, single lane closures will occur on eastbound and westbound 10th Street.  The 10th Street on- and off-ramps will also have half-lane closures to help facilitate the concrete repair work.
