Lil Wayne’s Reps Deny Pixar Movie Rumors
Lil Wayne playing an animated character in a movie may sound good on paper, but, unfortunately, it’s not going to happen anytime soon. Weezy’s managers told MTV News that the Young Money honcho is not starring in any Pixar movie about dinosaurs.
The rumor was Wayne would be voicing a character in ‘The Good Dinosaur,’ a Pixar film about the friendship between a boy and his pet brontosaurus. The movie, which will be directed by Bob Peterson and Peter Soh, was expected to hit theaters in May 2014.
The story didn’t seem too far fetched since fellow Young Money superstars Drake and Nicki Minaj voiced the wooly mammoth characters in 2012’s ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift.’ Weezy has done previous voiceover work on a few projects including a 2007 episode of ‘The Boondocks’ and 2010’s ‘Freaknik the Musical.’
In other Lil Wayne news, the 30-year-old rapper is appealing the judgment in his legal case against producer Quincy Jones III. If you recall, a jury ordered Wayne to pay over $2 million to QDIII after he didn’t show up for his own trial back in October. The case stems from Wayne’s lawsuit against the producer for using his music in an unauthorized 2009 documentary called ‘The Carter.’
The case also features Wayne’s infamous deposition tape, in which he gave QDIII’s attorney a hard time during questioning. It’s still a hilarious video to watch.
Wayne has filed documents for his intent to appeal. The ‘No Worries’ rapper has 30 days to officially file an appeal or else he has to pay up.
