Lights Blinking Out Across Region

This morning at about 6:55am our lamp flickered twice, about five seconds apart. We ignored the first one. The second one seemed odd so we mentioned it.

We then received a flood of phone calls, emails and text messages from across the region saying the same thing. We got reports that street lights went out in Centerville, flickers in Jasper, Worthington and Edgerton, MN. Flickers also were reported in Canton, Dell Rapids, Lennox, Brookings along with similar reports from all areas of Sioux Falls.

From what we've heard, the lights stayed on everywhere and there is no actual power outage that we know of.

We have no idea what this was, but a lot of people saw it. If we find out we'll let you know.
