Let’s All Grab Guns And Protect Sioux Falls Businesses. What Could Go Wrong? [OPINION]

So you think it's a great idea that just anybody picks up a military assault rifle and stands around outside a business ready to shoot anyone he sees as a threat.  Just being a patriot, right?  What could possibly go wrong??

In Sioux Falls members of the South Dakota Regimental Militia have taken it upon themselves to guard the Armed Forces Career Center at 57th and Louise.  They contend it is due to concerns for the unarmed military inside and recent shootings that killed soldiers in Chattanooga, TN.

Hey how about if we all grab some guns and go stand in the doorways of our local daycares and schools too. What could possibly go wrong!?

As a matter of fact, why do we even have professional police officers and a trained military? Let's just grab an ammo box, AK-47, a folding chair, a cooler of Red Bull, and get to some protectin'! What ... could ... possibly ... go ... wrong!?

Well in Lancaster Ohio 28-year-old Christopher Reed was standing outside a military recruiting center just cleaning his gun when someone asked to look at his fine AK-47. He accidentally fired a shot into the pavement.

No one was killed. This time. Reed was given a summons to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge.

This is what could possibly go wrong, along with a lot worse.
