Legacy of Beer Event Taps Into Celebration of Faith
What do you get when you put craft beer and a faith gathering together? No that is not an opening line of a joke, it is an event wrapped - in an event! The Legacy of Faith is a three day event this Friday through Sunday, August 14-16, 2015, at the Sioux Falls Arena and Convention Center, which is the culmination of a year-long celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Sioux Falls Catholic Diocese.
Friday's activities include a Faith & Business conference, the Parade of Banners and a concert by Christian artist Matt Maher. Saturday's happenings include a 5K run/1 mile Fun Run-Walk, the Legacy Family Fun Festival at Terrace Park with inflatables, music, games and prizes, and of course the Legacy of Beer craft beer tasting event. Sunday begins with a Pancake feed and ends with a Canaries game.
The Legacy of Beer event is from 4:45 to 7:30 PM. You'll enjoy sampling over 100 beer selections from 30-plus craft breweries, (including Fernson's here in Sioux Falls) and you'll get your own keepsake commemorative glass.
