Leaving Ziva and ‘NCIS’ Was Cote de Pablo’s Decision

Agent Ziva David will be in season 11 of NCIS long enough to wrap up her storyline then she is done. It was announced in early July that Chilean born actress Cote de Pablo is leaving the hit CBS show. “I’ve had eight great years with NCIS and Ziva David,” the actress said in a statement at the time, "I look forward to finishing Ziva’s story."

At the Television Critics Association Summer 2013 press tour Monday, CBS CEO Les Moonves said that the decision was her's and that the network didn't want to see her go. "We offered Cote a lot of money and then we offered her even more money," Moonves said, "Ultimately, she decided she didn't want to do the show."
