Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP will be an App

Lady Gaga is getting her new album ready to come out next year. And as usual Stephanie is taking things to the next level. The album, ARTPOP, will be released as an app. On her website Gaga said that the best way to “fully immerse” yourself in the album will be with the app.

“ARTPOP will be released as an IPAD, iPhone, mobile and computer compatible application (WORLD) that is completely interactive with chats, films for every song, extra music, content, gaga inspired games, fashion updates, magazines, and more still in the works! I will also be able to upload new things to the APP all the time, the same way i upload to twitter and LM.com.”

Lady Gaga says the she was inspired to do something like this by her interaction with fans online. She call them the “ARTPOP generation.”

She adds that the album will be released in the usual way, on CD and online. And she isn’t new to the app game, for her last album she created a Facebook app with the company that made Farmville.
