Does Lady Gaga Want to Jumpstart a Movie Career?

Lady Gaga's music and her little monsters are a top priority in her life, but a new rumor suggests that she may want to add another layer of meaning to 'ARTPOP,' with the focus on "art" over "pop." Sources suggest she wants to jumpstart her movie career as a means to get her boyfriend, actor Taylor Kinney, to propose.

Really? Gaga needs to make movies to get Kinney to commit?

"She's decided to go from a pop star to a movie star," a source told the National Enquirer (quotes via Entertainment Wise). "Gaga thinks that if she gives up the crazy rock 'n' roll lifestyle, Taylor will propose."

We're thinking that Kinney probably loves her just the way she is, and accepts her crazy lifestyle as par for the course. It's not like things will calm down if she exchanges one area of entertainment for another. Going from music to acting is not going to slow her down; in fact, it might accelerate her fame.

The insider also said, "Gaga is actually a traditional girl and wants to settle down."

She is reportedly serious enough about acting that she has started to take acting lessons so that she can eventually star in a big screen musical like 'Les Miserables.'

The source says that she is gunning for an Academy Award within the next five years. She also hopes to work with auteur Quentin Tarantino. He praised her during a recent interview, saying, "I'm a big fan of hers. It could happen. She's a really nice person. We got together a couple of times. She's a real lovely person," he said.

The Mother Monster's film debut 'Machete Kills' is slated for this year. Charlie Sheen also stars, and while they had no scenes together, she did offer him a lap dance.

She will also star in a documentary about her life.
