Kids Vandalize House, Victim Charged with Child Endangerment

A man who was fixing up a house for his in-laws to move into was vandalized by four kids between the ages of 8 and 10. Now the victim has been charged with child endangerment.

Jesse Daniels caught the kids destroying his house with hammers and spray paint. He called the police and restrained the kids in a closet. The kids were charged but the next day police came back and charged Daniels with endangering the welfare of a child.

A parent of two of the alleged vandals didn't think the charges against Daniels were enough. The boys allege that he threatened them with a hammer. Since the damage to the house was estimated at between $40,000 and $50,000, I think the victim should remain the victim, not the perpetrator.
