According to ESPN and multiple sources, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will not re-sign with the Timberwolves this summer or in the future. He wants out.

This shouldn't be any form of a surprise. Now the Timberwolves have to decide to either make him play out his contract for one last season, or swallow next season and get some value out of Love leaving.

If it was me, I'd take the value.

Love won't be returning to the team, and there is realistically nothing that the T-Wolves can do this offseason that will make them into a championship caliber team next season. The star forward wants out and they might as well take what they can for him. The longer they wait, the less they will receive for him.

That probably includes a few draft picks, maybe a couple of players, but better than being left with nothing.

Business wise they'll take a hit next year. But hopefully in the long-term, it would be a better situation for them.
