Kesha Wants to End Sexism in Pop Music

Susan B. Anthony had her own dollars, Kesha sports a dollar sign in her name. On the surface, a lot of people think that's where their similarities end. But not so fast! Kesha's on a mission to end sexism through her music. Really!

The glittery goddess responded to criticism of her breakout hit, 'Tik Tok,' and her general party girl persona by pointing out the double standards not just in life, but in music. "If men can talk about drinking in every awesome rock n' roll song and every awesome rap song, why can't a woman?" she points out to the Financial Times (quotes via ContactMusic). "Just because I drink doesn't mean I'm a drunk. Just because I have sex, and I'm not embarrassed doesn't mean I'm a w----." Amen, sister!

"If men can do it, why can't a woman do it?" she challenged. The new face of feminism added, "I really feel one of my main reasons for being on this earth is to level out the playing field just a little bit."
