I went to the Kelly Clarkson concert in St. Paul last weekend and I am still shook. It's been a couple days and I am still in awe.

This is Kelly's first tour in three years. It is called the 'Meaning of Life Tour' named after her most recent album, Meaning of Life. I see what she did there.

She had two openers. Brynn Cartelli, the winner of Season 14 of The Voice, and Kelsea Ballerini, who is a country/pop artist.

Once, all the opener stuff was over, which wasn't bad, but I was ready for the main event, Kelly appeared like an angel to grace our ears with her voice.

The arena went dark and a montage started playing on the screens. It started with Kelly's most recent singles and worked backwards, spanning her whole career, right back to where it started. "A Moment Like This," her first single after winning American Idol.

She seemed to have just appeared on the stage. They totally distracted us with those screens and she had a magnificent entrance. Literally, surprised everybody. She was just there. She opened the show with an acapella version of "A Moment Like This" that made me cry. I had goosebumps and my eyes were tearing up. Then it was time to party. She went on to do all the faves from her new album and past albums.

I cried again when she did "Piece by Piece." That song is about her tough relationship with her father. I don't know if there was a dry eye in the house! So powerful.

I cried a third time during the encore. She performed her version of "Quiet Uptown" from the Hamilton Mixtape back to back with her version of  "Never Enough" from The Greatest Showman Reimagined and my little heart could not take it! All the little hairs on the back of my neck and arms stood up and I was trying so hard to hold back tears because I couldn't remember if my mascara was waterproof. The one time I decide to wear makeup! During these songs, Kelly was lifted on a pedestal while the screen behind her showed a beautiful outdoor scene that eventually lit up and sparkled and panned out into a theatre! So dramatic! Loved everything about it!

Then, she picked up my heart from the floor and rocked our faces off with "Stronger" and  "Since U Been Gone."

And then, just like that, it was over. Where did the time go? I want more Kelly!

That is when you know a concert was amazing when it's over and you don't know where the time went because you were too busy having a blast!

A couple of quick tidbits.

1. The big screen was down for part of our show. Thank goodness they got it working again for some of the really cool visuals at the end.

2. Kelly was running around and jumping while still belting her heart out to "My Life Would Suck Without You" and "Since U Been Gone" and "Stronger." I don't know how she holds those notes.

3. Speaking of notes. She did not hold back. Any of her songs that have a big note or run or break out moment that you're used to, she did it! And she did it well!
