Meteorologist Brad Teameyer of the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says severe weather is possible in the region on Saturday.

"That includes hail in excess of golf ball size, winds in excess of 70 miles per hour, and isolated tornadoes," Teameyer tells us.

Teameyer says it's possible Sioux Falls will be affected by the storm.

"Yes, Sioux Falls would be on the northern fringes of the outlook on Saturday evening.  The highest threat looks to be in the south across eastern Nebraska into far eastern South Dakota and Northwest Iowa."

Teameyer urges residents to prepare a safety plan for you and your family while at home and when  outdoors---in case of severe weather.
