It's been 15 years since Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears infamously arrived at the American Music Awards wearing matching denim-on-denim outfits, raising eyebrows of fans everywhere over their questionable fashion choice.

Now, on the anniversary of their 2001 cringe-worthy outing, Timberlake is seemingly able to admit what we were all thinking that night: WTF?

In an appearance on the Australian talk show The Project (courtesy of Us Weekly), the "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer was asked if he had learned anything since his 'NSYNC days.

"If you wear denim-on-denim, it will get documented," he quipped. "You know what, I don't think I could even bring that back.I'm going to go out on a limb and say if it's worn properly, denim-on-denim could be [brought back]."

When asked if there was any celebrity who could bring it back, the singer joked, "Not Donald Trump!"

Timberlake went on to express other regrets about his questionable fashion during his boy band days. "Did you see the outfits we wore? It was such a crazy time and the world was different, the music industry was different. It was just a different time."
