Justin Bieber threw a plastic water bottle at the paparazzi in Miami on Monday (Dec. 10) where he was headlining Hot 99.5's Jingle Ball concert. We guess he wasn't feeling particularly sociable that day.

According to E! Online, the 18-year-old's little outburst did not incite any further drama, but Bieber was lucky. If he were spotted by the cops, he could have been fined $50 for littering or faced other consequences like having to pick up trash or "perform other labor commensurate with the offense committed." We're guessing that's not the kind of community service the Canadian star is into.

What provoked the Biebs to chuck the water bottle in the direction of the photographers? We're still not sure, but the singer's Grammy snub and girlfriend Selena Gomez are two hot buttons a pap may have pushed.

Whatever it was, Bieber shouldn't let anyone turn his smile upside down. Not only does he have his just-announced 2013 Believe World Tour dates to look forward to, he just scored his first role in a major motion picture. The pop star has been cast in Mark Wahlberg's upcoming basketball film, which the actor told MTV is in the vein of Martin Scorsese's 'The Color of Money,' with Bieber as the novice to Wahlberg's mentor character.
