Justin Bieber’s Sick + Impoverished Grandfather Says Singer Has Forgotten His Family

One of Justin Bieber‘s grandfathers is accusing the teen of forgetting his family!

The singer’s paternal grandfather George, 61, is in ill health and impoverished. He is the biological father of Biebs’ dad, Jeremy, and is living on a fixed income and suffering through tough living conditions. He is unable to work due a crippling back problem. He and his wife Kathy, who is The Biebs’ step-grandmother, receive no financial support from the very rich singer and Kathy works a brutal factory job. All they got was a TV and some money at Christmas, when their home has a hole in the roof after a tree fell through it and they’ve been unable to fix it.

George, who admitted his grandson hasn’t visited him at home in years but that he did see the teen at Jeremy’s house during last year’s holiday season, said, “Justin has just got too big for his britches. He never calls us and now I sometimes think he doesn’t care … [He] seems to be getting caught up in this lavish lifestyle and has forgotten us.”

Grandpa George is also concerned about his grandson’s recent brattiness. “When I hear about his recent behavior, I just wonder who on earth is looking after him as, believe me, this is not the loving little boy we always knew,” George said. “It’s like we now live on different planets.”

George is also miffed that The Biebs helps his maternal grandmother and her husband but shuns him and Kathy. “For them, nothing seems to be too much trouble. He buys them new houses, cars, luxury holidays – anything they want,” he groused. “But for us – nothing. I would love a new house as now I cannot even make it upstairs, my back is so bad. But I guess that is not on the cards for us.”

He also said that “we certainly have never seen a penny of it,” regarding the singer’s wealth. “It does make me sad, as right now our life is pretty desperate. It’s hard to imagine the money Justin has, as it’s about as far removed from our life as you could get.”

Despite all this, George still loves his famous grandkid, saying, “He will always be my grandson and I am, and will always be, so proud of him. It’s just sad he is not a bigger part of our life. But I guess he is just too busy right now.”

Yikes.

While we can empathize with George’s ailments and situation, he is airing dirty laundry and sounds like he is asking for a handout from his very rich grandson, while capitalizing on the fact that the teen’s image is really being put through the ringer right now.
