The summer travel season is upon us and while it's not always possible to fire up a grill or campfire for burgers and dogs while on the move, a good buffet is always welcome! According to Yahoo Travel, here's the best buffets around the upper Midwest. You know, in case a road-trip breaks out:

South Dakota: Silverado Grand Buffet in Deadwood is a great place to go from the gambling tables to the dinner tables. Did we mention the buffet here is 80 feet long? And that's a good thing. After all, I really work up an appetite watching the blackjack dealer take my bet! The weekends are best because that's when crab legs and prime rib grace the feast.

Iowa: Farmer’s Pick at Isle of Capri in Waterloo is where you will find locally grown foods and prepared fresh every day. The locals will advise you to save room for the eclairs.

Nebraska: The Sunday brunch at Upstream Brewing in Omaha takes the prize for Nebraska. Nestled in the Old Market District, the bread pudding French toast will make you a frequent visitor. I am - mainly because it is a brewery, too!

Minnesota: Yahoo Travel has called the Q Cumbers in Edina the best buffet in Minnesota. The salad bar wins the blue ribbon. Although I'm not ready to give up meat any time soon, I could spend some time off the road building a healthy salad.

North Dakota: Chuck Wagon Western Buffet in Medora features barbecue, hearty meats, and comfort foods. This is a seasonal buffet open during the tourist season so you'll have to go in the spring and summer, and not surprisingly wintertime is not tourist season in the frozen tundra of North Dakota.
