How have Adrian Peterson's representatives handled his situation?

"Yeah, I mean it's difficult because they are in a tough spot because it's really unprecedented. And I think their biggest complaint with Roger Goodell and the NFL is that the league has kind of made up the parameters of discipline as it's gone along here and are kind of just pulling things out of thin air. Well essentially that is what they're doing because they've never come across something like this before. So I think the union is starting to kind of view Adrian Peterson as the basis of a larger argument for a larger fight and in a sense, Adrian is kind of caught in the middle there because of it. He actually maybe suffering a little bit more than probably he has to just because the union think there are larger ramifications, consequences that can come into play when all of this goes through. It has been messy on all sides. I don't think you can dispute that. I think it is just because people are unfamiliar with it. There is no playbook for this kind of situation."

How will the Vikings handle Peterson's status when and if he is reinstated with the team?

"I find it hard to envision him coming back and playing here. I think that even before all these accusations, and things came to light, the Vikings were already putting themselves in a position to move on from Adrian Peterson. I think they saw a player that was still very, very good, but is getting up in age. 30-year old running backs, we know generally hit the wall pretty quickly. And he was set to make a lot of money. So I think what you were going to see regardless of what happened with courts and his child abuse case, I think the Vikings were going to make a move to either get a drastic cut in pay from Adrian Peterson or move him altogether. Now that they have this to consider as well, you are going to see them try to maybe trade him or release him before he's due any big salary for next season. I think Adrian Peterson has a lack of trust with some of the leadership in the Vikings organization and I think we've got to the point where it's probably better for both sides to move on."
