Jennifer Lopez In New Cop Drama

Jennifer Lopez is taking her turn at scripted TV. She has been a judge on American Idol for awhile now, but now JLo is getting scripted.

Her new cop drama is coming to NBC January 7. (Isn't that sort of conflicting with American Idol?)

The new show is called Shades of Blue. Jennifer plays a cop that maybe isn't doing the job by the book and then is enlisted to spy on her boss, Ray Liotta, by the FBI. OoOOh. Juicy. Looks good. See for yourself.

It seems a bit odd that someone of JLo's caliber would do TV. Not that there's anything wrong with TV, but she's usually selling lots of albums and making bank at the box office. She could literally do anything she wanted and she chose this so it better be good.

I love me a good cop drama, SVU anyone?, so I'll probably give it a go.
